That is why opening the kiln after firing is always magical: I never know for sure what the outcome will be. But the eggs taste just as good.
In the HEMA in Holland they sold these lovely egg cups of bone china. I painted some chicken wire on the rim and experimented with turquoise green and opaque white in the bowl of the egg cup. The idea was to create subtle patterns with the white in the green. As you can see that did not quite work out: The white was far more opaque then I had imagined.
